Imagine No Malaria Launch Party

It was such a fun that all the United Methodists in Southwest Texas gather together at the State Capitol for the World Malaria Day on April 25th.
Here are some pictures I took with my phone.

And you can read more about the party at the UMC website at http://www.umc.org/site/apps/nlnet/content3.aspx?c=lwL4KnN1LtH&b=5259669&ct=8212913

The Transfiguration

Eric Vogt, a pastor at Servant Church, came to preach at Selah on Transfiguration Sunday, Feb. 14. His preaching was very powerful and has helped us again to remind ourselves what we are called to do in this world.
I made this video to show the congregation after the sermon, and I think it went well with Eric's preaching.

Our Kitchen Angel...

Kathleen washed all the dishes after our staff lunch meeting yesterday.
I refused her offer at first (of course my Korean culture never allows an older person do such a thing in front of a young person...), but she insisted and was telling me, "Young, I can't wash your feet now, but I can wash your dish..."
It was not only beautiful line itself she said but it also reminded me of my master Jesus and my recent Stephen Ministry training. (I have just learned about Servanthood vs. Servitude in the Stephen Ministry training last week.).
Clifton was telling me about writing a blog about Kathleen being our kitchen angel in our office. So I took a picture and here it is Kathleen... We love you Kathleen!!!

"Jesus knew that the Father had put all things under his power, and that he had come from God and was returning to God; so he got up from the meal, took off his outer clothing, and wrapped a towel around his waist. After that, he poured water into a basin and began to wash his disciples' feet, drying them with the towel that was wrapped around him. " (John 13:3-5)

Faith Stories - Sara Hickman

Here is the new faith story video done by Sara Hickman.
I just like her line in the video that says "I am growing old my church..."
Enjoy the video!
